What To Wear
General Race Day Attire is relaxed casual wear.
(Please note: Bare feet and offensive clothing is not acceptable).
Tradies Day in January – Relaxed affair with a Hawaiian or summer outfit preferred. Wear your best floral or loud shirt and thongs. No bare feet are allowed, and closed-in shoes are required around the horses.
Laidley Cup – Dress up and wear your best outfit for Fashions on the Field or smart casual wear in the trackside marquee.
Gatton Cup – Smart casual wear for the public. Dress up in your best outfit for your chance to win great prizes in Fashions on the Field. Corporate race day attire required in the cassy trackside marquee.

Getting Here
The picturesque Lockyer Valley is approximately an hour’s drive west of Brisbane, 30 mins west of Ipswich and 30 mins east of Toowoomba. The Lockyer Valley Turf Club is located in Gatton, which can be found by following the signs from the Warrego Highway.
The Gatton Racecourse is located at the western end of Spencer Street which runs through the middle of Gatton. Keep going past KFC until you reach the racecourse.

Opening Times
Race days generally run with the main gates opening at 11.00 am and the last race between 4.30 – 5.00 pm.
Generally, we have 7 races and race times are confirmed a couple of days prior to the event. Gates may open earlier on some event days. Opening times will confirmed on the event page.

Weekday Races: $10 Adults, $5.00 concession/pensioner; children under 16 accompanied by an adult are free.
Current Members, Owners & Trainers have free entry.
Carers are permitted free entry with a ticket holder & carer’s card.
Saturday Events: Raceday entry on Saturday events are posted in the event page.
Weekday race events – all tickets can be purchased at the entry gate – please bring cash.
Saturday and special event days – We prefer you purchase your tickets online to secure your spot and a smoother entry – please go to the event page for the link to purchase your tickets.
There is plenty of car parking is available just between the main gates located at the end of Spencer Street and the racecourse entry gate.
No, this is a licensed venue and food or alcohol cannot be brought onto the premises at any time. Food is available in the club’s canteen and at larger events, food vans are provided. For your enjoyment, when you purchase a ticket for The Premium Trackside Marquee, these packages have meals and beverages included.
Yes children may attend the races. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

All lost property is returned to the Secretary’s office.
A designated smoking area is available next to the main bar.

- The racecourse is accessible by private car or taxi.
- We have a large open grassed area for car parking The majority of the public area is either flat and grassed or concreted (apart from the grassed sloped bank leading up to the grandstand).
- Guest Wi-Fi is available
- Accessible Parking can be arranged right beside the entry gate and a portable accessible sanitary facility is available near the main toilet facilities.
- Service dogs are welcome.
